Though
older and graying, she's giving and wise
A grandmother's love always shows in her
eyes.
From small tots to teens, they will come
and they'll go,
Like blossoming flowers, she watches them
grow.
Through
multiplication they increase her pleasure,
Each grandchild a blessing, a keepsake and
treasure.
Unconditional love for each one that she
shows
From the tops of their heads to the tips
of their toes.
They
love to hear stories that she loves to tell
It's part of her job and she does it quite
well.
She never gets tired of the answers to “why,”
Each comes with a hug and a wink of her
eye.
It's
almost by magic she makes dreams come true.
Instinctively grandmothers know what to
do.
Indulges and spoils them, for they seldom
stay;
A grandmother's privilege to do it this
way.
All
their milestones and triumphs, she never
will tire,
Inspires and empowers their will and desire.
Through their highs and their lows, she
brings comfort and cheer,
Though a distance away, in her heart, always
near.
A
teacher, a friend, a compassionate soul,
She's the bridge in our history that makes
us feel whole.
It's time to pay tribute, to honor, revere,
And let you know grandmother; glad you are
here.
